In a world where change is constant, Perfectionists seek to create stability by organizing their surroundings. They diligently align their habits with their inner values, leaving no room for chaos in their lives. With meticulous planning and careful preparations, they navigate their future with utmost intention, charting a clear path toward their desired outcomes. For Perfectionists, it is thoughtful planning and focused execution that will make their dreams come true.

Self-improvement is like a
competition for me, myself, and I.

Elizabeth Olsen

When people think of a Perfectionist, they imagine someone unnecessarily fussing over details. But really, Perfectionists are just those who aren't afraid to demand the best from themselves. They have clear expectations of what they want, mapping out every detail and being critical of their every step. Because of their strict standards, they will achieve nothing short of perfection.

Inherent Nature Of The Perfectionist

A skyscraper will crumble in the absence of a solid foundation. As such, Perfectionists desire nothing more than to feel secure. To achieve that, they constantly evaluate their day to ensure that everything is going fine. This helps them maintain a sense of stability, and they take comfort in that. Rather than looking for the new all the time, which can often be overwhelming, Perfectionists prefer to dig deep into a subject in order to master a skill that they are good at.

When it comes to success, consistency is the key ingredient. As such, Perfectionists can be a brilliant artist, a dedicated doctor, or anything they set their hearts on. Because once they are locked onto a passion, they will dedicate their entire lives to it, and nothing can stand in their way. From daily routines to future aspirations, everything they do is geared towards the mastery of their craft.

Perfectionists always get what they want because they know exactly how to get there. They are the ones who are always ready with a detailed plan to help get them to where they need to be, step by step. To them, stability is essential for a calm and peaceful life. As such, Perfectionists are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure all aspects of their lives are under control. Be it their career, health or hobbies, everything must go exactly according to their plan.

Measure a thousand times, cut once.

As the Perfectionist's likes are shaped by their instincts, so are their aversions. Perfectionists are often weary of perspectives that are vastly different from their own. When faced with new ideas, especially those that are weird and bizarre, they may feel pretty uneasy about it. After all, these perspectives can be unsettling for someone who prioritizes stability. In these situations, Perfectionists prefer to stick with what is tried and true, instead of taking risks with untested ideas.

In addition, if there is one thing Perfectionists cannot stand, it is when things don't go according to plan. When something totally unexpected shakes up their lives, they often struggle to determine their next course of action. Feeling overwhelmed, Perfectionists may lapse into a state of frustration and disarray, rather than adapting to changes. Nonetheless, although it is natural for Perfectionists to dislike such situations, they should learn to be more accepting of them.

Now, with all that said, do note that these traits don’t make you better or worse than others. While some may feel disappointed with their given personality type, it is important to recognize that each type is unique in its own way. Only by understanding who we are, can we leverage our hidden talents—allowing us to unlock our fullest potential.

I have a soft spot in my heart
for true commitment when I see it.

Robert Lang

When it comes to Perfectionists, they approach life's journey with a focused and unwavering spirit, taking their time to perfect their craft. After all, the tortoise defeated the hare because it never gave up. Not everyone is born gifted, and that's fine with Perfectionists. After all, the main determiner of success often boils down to just two words—sheer will. So no matter how fast life is moving, Perfectionists know that they will ultimately triumph by forging ahead at their own steady pace.

While it may seem that the motivations behind the behavior of Perfectionists are complex, a closer look reveals that they are not as complicated as they seem to be. Each of us possess innate desires that guide our actions and define our personalities.
