NXT Core

The NXT personality framework

Framework

Introduction

At first, we searched for personality systems that could overcome the challenges identified. Some looked promising, but the more we explored them, the more we realized that where one system excelled, it often fell short elsewhere.

After searching far and wide, we came to accept that no existing framework was entirely free from these issues. And so, we decided to create a new one from scratch. It was an ambitious idea, and the excitement was undeniable. But with so many different ideas between us, the project could have easily slipped into chaos.

To keep ourselves grounded, we agreed on a single guiding purpose: to develop a system that can truly help people grow. We accomplish this by offering a framework that reflects the realities of everyday life while remaining practical and accessible to all. This led to the creation of the Neo-Jungian Experiential Typology personality framework, also known as NXT for short.

In The Beginning

The meaning of NXT’s name begins with its story. In developing NXT, our research took us all the way back to the humble beginnings of typology. Through that exploration, we discovered that despite the many modern updates and reinterpretations, Carl Jung’s theory of cognitive functions still stood as the most illuminating model of the psyche. Naturally, it became the cornerstone of our system.

Like many before us, we saw immense potential in Jung’s ideas and wanted to make them more accessible for the world. To do that, we refined and expanded upon his framework to bring it up to date. In other words, NXT is an evolution of Jung’s original works, and hence Neo-Jungian in nature.

But theory alone wasn’t enough for us. We made sure the NXT framework is also eXperiential, tied to years of real-world observation and testing. We take pride in having spent more than 50,000 hours typing thousands of individuals. Our relentless effort was driven by a deep-seated desire to create a system that accurately reflects reality, not just a theoretical one.

And finally, NXT is a Typology system. By definition, “typology” refers to the systematic classification of things based on shared traits. In the context of psychology, it involves sorting people into personality types to understand them better. However, we are not trying to confine people into fixed categories. All we want is to provide a tool for self-discovery—one that helps others grow, not limit who they are.

And with that, NXT was born!

Mind Mapping

Instead of a cage or a box, our framework is more like a map of your psyche. Once we identify your archetype, we can then draw up a map tailored to you.

But what is the point of having a map? Well for most, the mind is a vast and mysterious landscape which remains largely uncharted. If explored without guidance, it is easy to get lost, wander in circles, or worse, drop into hidden pitfalls.

The NXT framework lays out the terrains of your mind, pinning down key aspects of your personality so that you have a better idea of who you really are. By familiarizing yourself with your mind’s geography, you can then plot out the best route for your personal growth.

Sure, you can still find your way to self-mastery without a map. But having one makes your journey far smoother, accelerating your growth so that you can unlock your fullest potential as soon as possible.

Personality Ninja

When people think of self-mastery, they often think of acquiring skills, like learning how to code, play an instrument, or manage others more effectively. These are all valuable skills, but at Personality Ninja, we believe to truly master oneself, one must first master the mind.

And that’s why we chose the ninja as our symbol. While they are often portrayed as masters of stealth, deception, and deadly techniques, true ninjas were not defined by their weapons or tricks. Instead, someone can only be considered a ninja once they have conquered their minds.

Unfortunately, the English word “ninja” does not do justice to its symbolic meaning. To capture the essence of a ninja’s unyielding spirit, we must trace the word back to its origins.

In Japanese, the word “ninja” is made up of two kanji characters: (nin) and (ja). The first kanji, is composed of two characters, (blade) and (heart). Together, they form the kanji (shinobi), which means to endure, or to bear. Why? Because it takes every bit of strength to go through life carrying a blade in your heart.

The lesson here is this: if you want to know yourself, you must first find what cuts you deep. Don’t be afraid to look for that blade in your life. Look for the problems that you are afraid to confront and face them head on. Take a blade through the heart if you have to. That is what it means to be a ninja. It is a beautiful reminder that no tree can grow to heaven unless its roots reach down to hell.

This unshakable spirit is what allows ninjas to overcome even the most impossible challenges. They will do whatever it takes to get the job done. Similarly, when we master our own minds, we too can face life’s trials and tribulations with greater ease. Because in the end, it is not the world that makes or breaks us, it is our minds.

So if you’ve found your way to our website, you’re already walking the path of a ninja. Because whether consciously or not, you came here to understand yourself which unlocks your next phase of growth. And if you have ever tried to improve, you know that it can be an uphill battle sometimes. So the courage to change alone is enough to make you a personality ninja in our eyes!

Planning your journey without a
map is like building a house
without any diagrams.

The question is: how do we master our mind? Well, it isn’t easy given its mysterious workings. That’s why a map can make all the difference. Even if you don’t want to follow fixed routes, the free map we are offering can at least point you in the right direction. It also marks out where potential dangers may lie, helping you choose the paths that will lead to a more fulfilling journey through life.

Now, just as a map is divided into different sections, the mind is likewise divided into different regions. Recognizing them is crucial if we want to gain a clearer picture of who we are.

The thing is, the core of one’s personality is complex. Therefore, the explanations of our framework can sometimes get pretty complicated and technical. To make it easier to remember and understand, we’ve simplified our theory into something clear and practical. The result of this is NXT CORE.

Bringing a new approach to personality, this model breaks down intricate human behavior into terms that anyone can grasp. CORE stands for Class, Origins, Rhythm, and Energy, and each of them represents a unique facet of personality. Together, they illustrate our framework in a holistic and digestible manner.

The sections below will explain each of the aspects in detail, laying out the fundamental ideas of NXT.
