THE OFFICIAL NXT DEFINITIONS

Fe Solidarity

FE Solidarity belongs to one of the eight Type Instincts in the NXT personality framework. If you are new or unfamiliar with the topic, do refer to the Introduction of Type Instinct for more information.

Overview

Emotional Solidarity, or Solidarity for short, is the Type Instinct for archetypes who have Extraverted Feeling (FE) as their Dominant Cognitive Function.

Extraverted Feeling is an Extraverted Implicit Judging Cognitive Function, used to attain a sense of belonging by recognizing what collectively feels most right through the emotional justifications of others.

This Cognitive Function is relatively objective and connotative as it prioritizes the most convincing sentiments based on the collective judgments of others in order to achieve emotional solidarity.

As such, Extraverted Feelers tend to focus on leading others based on social values, most noticeably by considering the feelings and vibes of the community, all of which promote emotional solidarity.

Brief technical description: Extraverted Feeling seeks for what collectively feels most right by prioritizing emotional solidarity.

To provide greater clarity and understanding of the descriptions above, below are the key definitions for the specific terms used.

Key Definitions

Definition of Solidarity:
The unity of interests, values, or actions within a group, a social identity, or a community.

Note: Although everyone may enjoy a sense of solidarity at some point in their lifetimes, Solidarity for a NXT Extraverted Feeler is specifically tied to their instinct to seek for group harmony.

Definition of Extraverted:
Referring to a psychological orientation that is centered around the objective viewpoint of one's outer world.

Note: Extraverted is a term originally coined by Carl Jung. Extraverted in this context is not to be confused with the typical understanding of an extravert, such as being outgoing, loud, or someone who occupies the spotlight.

Definition of Feeling:
Processing emotional justifications by focusing primarily on the appropriateness and rightness of actions or beliefs.

Note: Feeling includes, but is not limited to: making things feel right, tracking emotional changes, and gauging the worth of things.

Definition of Leading:
Prioritizing the needs of others by focusing primarily on the group's development.

Note: Leading includes, but is not limited to: checking for the opinions of others, reaching group consensus, and forming groups or communities.

Definition of Objective:
Based on the non-personal interpretation of matters.

Note: An impersonal interpretation is not equivalent to an accurate or better interpretation, but merely one that is more detached from the individual.

Definition of Value:
The instinctive worth that determines the importance of a belief.

Note: Values are typically associated with morality because it involves shaping one's beliefs and moral principles. However, something valued may also be something one prefers, which does not always involve morality.

Definition of Emotional:
According to the importance and nuances of feelings.

Note: Emotional in this context does not mean being sensitive or overreactive, but merely doing something in accordance with feelings.

Definition of Justification:
An implicit explanation that provides a convincing argument to validate the importance of a viewpoint, behavior, or event.

Note: Feelers may not commonly use the term "justifications". They may say phrases such as "my reasons are..." or "it makes sense to..." that sound logical, but are often emotional justifications instead.

Derivative Traits

As mentioned above, Extraverted Feelers are individuals who focus on making objective decisions based on values by evaluating the world externally with opinions from others determined by emotional justifications. As such, various characteristics can be expanded upon this core trait to understand it better.

Thematic Details

Within the fictional world of Mochiverse, the Type Instinct of an archetype is represented by the ninja's clan. In particular, individuals who seek for Solidarity are represented by the Deer Clan.

Crests of the Arctic Deer Clan (left) and Arcane Deer Clan (right). The Arctic Deer Clan consists of Extraverted Sensors (top) and Introverted Sensors (bottom), while the Arcane Deer Clan consists of Extraverted Intuitives (top) and Introverted Intuitives (bottom).

The reason for this animal choice is because Deers symbolize unity, harmony and rapport, qualities that reflect in individuals with Extraverted Feeling. Hence, Deer Ninjas find no trouble in looking out for others, granting them the impressive ability to sense what people are feeling in an instant.

To be specific, the Deer Clan is made up of two subclans, namely the Arctic and Arcane Deer Clan. Those who belong to the Arctic Deer Clan have a Sensing Function as their Supportive Function. On the other hand, those who belong to the Arcane Deer Clan have an Intuition Function as their Supportive Function.

Due to the different Supporting Functions, both subclans vary slightly in terms of their Type Outlooks. Ninjas hailing from the Arctic Deer Clan are influential leaders who bring people together through grounded ways. Likewise, ninjas hailing from the Arcane Deer Clan are inspiring leaders who bring people together through meaningful ways.
