THE OFFICIAL NXT DEFINITIONS

TI Accuracy

TI Accuracy belongs to one of the eight Type Instincts in the NXT personality framework. If you are new or unfamiliar with the topic, do refer to the Introduction of Type Instinct for more information.

Overview

Logical Accuracy, or Accuracy for short, is the Type Instinct for archetypes who have Introverted Thinking (TI) as their Dominant Cognitive Function.

Introverted Thinking is an Introverted Explicit Judging Cognitive Function, used to cultivate personal significance by figuring out what personally works best through one's own logical reasoning.

This Cognitive Function is relatively subjective and denotative as it prioritizes the most convincing reasonings based on one's personal judgments in order to achieve logical accuracy.

As such, Introverted Thinkers tend to focus on evolving themselves based on individual-oriented logic, most noticeably by considering their own principles and truths, all of which promote logical accuracy.

Brief technical description: Introverted Thinking seeks for what personally works best by prioritizing logical accuracy.

To provide greater clarity and understanding of the descriptions above, below are the key definitions for the specific terms used.

Key Definitions

Definition of Accuracy:
The state of being true, correct, or precise, especially in axioms of reasoning.

Note: Although everyone may be logically accurate at some point in their lifetimes, Accuracy for a NXT Introverted Thinker is specifically tied to their instinct to seek for the precise truth.

Definition of Introverted:
Referring to a psychological orientation that is centered around the subjective viewpoint of one's inner world.

Note: Introverted is an original term by Carl Jung. Introverted in this context is not to be confused with the typical understanding of an introvert, such as being quiet, reserved, or someone who shies away from the spotlight.

Definition of Thinking:
Processing logical reasons by focusing primarily on the validity and coherence of actions or arguments.

Note: Thinking includes, but is not limited to: making things work, tracking logical coherence, and gauging the utility of things.

Definition of Evolving:
Prioritizing the needs of oneself by focusing primarily on personal development.

Note: Evolving includes, but is not limited to: checking for personal opinions, upholding principles or beliefs, and striving to develop one's own identity.

Definition of Subjective:
Based on the personal interpretation of matters.

Note: A personal interpretation is not equivalent to an inaccurate or worse interpretation, but merely one that is more attached to the individual.

Definition of Logic:
The systematic inference that proves the validity of an argument.

Note: Logic is typically associated with facts because facts are often used to set the premises for logical arguments. However, logic may also be applied according to conceptual premises, which do not have to be proven factual.

Definition of Logical:
According to strict principles and criteria of validity.

Note: Logical in this context does not mean being intelligent or clever, but merely arguing in accordance with principles and criteria.

Definition of Reason:
An explicit explanation that provides an analytical argument to validate the truth of a statement, action, or occurrence.

Note: Apart from Thinkers, Feelers may also commonly use terms such as "reasons" or "makes sense". However, what may be presented as a logical reason may or may not be logical in nature.

Derivative Traits

As mentioned above, Introverted Thinkers are individuals who focus on making subjective decisions based on logic by evaluating the world internally with personal opinions determined by logical reasons. As such, various characteristics can be expanded upon this core trait to understand it better.

To illustrate an experiential depiction of an individual who seeks Logical Accuracy, here are some possible derivative traits that are commonly reported from individuals of this Type Instinct.

  1. Decides by assessing the reasons and rationale attained from one's personal framework of logic.
  2. Thrives in personal development whereby deep critical thinking is pivotal and required.
  3. Focuses on one's own logical accuracy while disregarding what the group deems socially acceptable.
  4. Formulates precise and intricate arguments to ensure one's personal truths are logically valid.
  5. Achieves success by verifying definite principles, resulting in a coherence of internal truths.
Note: As these are some possible derivative traits, a person of this Type Instinct will either display some or most of the attributes above, with differing frequency and intensity.

Thematic Details

Within the fictional world of Mochiverse, the Type Instinct of an archetype is represented by the ninja's clan. In particular, individuals who seek for Accuracy are represented by the Badger Clan.

Crests of the Tungsten Badger Clan (left) and Smoldering Badger Clan (right). The Tungsten Badger Clan consists of Extraverted Sensors (top) and Introverted Sensors (bottom), while the Smoldering Badger Clan consists of Extraverted Intuitives (top) and Introverted Intuitives (bottom).

The reason for this animal choice is because Badgers symbolize intelligence, independence, and tenacity, qualities that reflect in individuals with Introverted Thinking. Hence, Badger Ninjas find no trouble developing logical frameworks throughout life, granting them the ability to form accurate deductions.

To be specific, the Badger Clan is made up of two subclans, namely the Tungsten and Smoldering Badger Clan. Those who belong to the Tungsten Badger Clan have a Sensing Function as their Supportive Function. On the other hand, those who belong to the Smoldering Badger Clan have an Intuition Function as their Supportive Function.

Due to the different Supporting Functions, both subclans vary slightly in terms of their Type Outlooks. Ninjas hailing from the Tungsten Badger Clan are rational evolvers who ascertain the truth by examining facts. Likewise, ninjas hailing from the Smoldering Badger Clan are theoretical evolvers who ascertain the truth by examining concepts.
