Analyzer

Analyzer belongs to one of the four Type Drives in the NXT personality framework. If you are new or unfamiliar with the topic, do refer to the Introduction of Type Drive for more information.

Overview

Analyzing Function Pairs are Extraverted Perceiving and Introverted Judging Cognitive Functions, operating together to make objective observations and subjective decisions by examining externally for unfamiliar knowledge and evaluating internally with personal opinions.

To put it briefly, the act of Analyzing involves discovering new information for themselves.

Analyzers have an Exploring Function and Evolving Function among their Dominant and Supportive Function. This means that either Extraverted Sensing (SE) or Extraverted Intuition (NE) will be paired with either Introverted Thinking (TI) or Introverted Feeling (FI).

To provide greater clarity and understanding of the descriptions above, below are the key definitions for the specific terms used.

Key Definitions

Definition of Analyzer:
A person who prioritizes Analyzing to fulfill their desire for variety and significance.

Note: Analysis is typically the process of analyzing data, but a NXT Analyzer refers instead to someone who often discovers new information for oneself.

Definition of Analyzing:
To act in a way that prioritizes oneself through an improvisational approach.

Note: Analyzing includes, but is not limited to: researching diverse interests, pursuing new preferences, and trying unique approaches.

Definition of Objective:
Based on the non-personal interpretation of matters.

Note: An impersonal interpretation is not equivalent to an accurate or better interpretation, but merely one that is more detached from the individual.

Definition of Subjective:
Based on the personal interpretation of matters.

Note: A personal interpretation is not equivalent to an inaccurate or worse interpretation, but merely one that is more attached to the individual.

Definition of Unfamiliar:
Outside of an individual's usual experiences or awareness.

Note: Unfamiliar relates to the desire for variety as it introduces something that is new, creating a sense of curiosity.

Derivative Traits

As mentioned above, Analyzers focus on discovering new information for oneself. As such, various characteristics can be expanded upon this description to understand it better.

To illustrate an experiential depiction of an Analyzer, here are some possible derivative traits that are commonly reported from individuals of this Type Drive.

  1. Researches a wide range of topics or events that are personally significant to themselves.
  2. Communicates by sharing varied and open-ended personal opinions after extensive exploration.
  3. Often pursues new subjects, activities, or approaches that are in line with their principles or beliefs.
  4. Discovers opportunities and alternatives for personal goals and activities.
  5. Feels drained by the act of directing people and projects, especially ones that require consistent commitment and cooperation.
Note: As these are some possible derivative traits, a person of this Type Drive will either display some or most of the attributes above, with differing frequency and intensity.

Thematic Details

Within the fictional world of Mochiverse, the Type Drive of an archetype is represented by the ninja's clothing. In particular, Analyzers are designed to wear a bandana around their necks.

The reason for this design was to symbolize the curious and inquisitive nature of Analyzers. The bandana carries elements of exploration and adventure, ideal for the Analyzer's spontaneous way of life.
